Swaps

A swap happens when freight must be transferred from one truck to another due to driver HOS issues, border crossing issues, or truck breakdown.

When you pick up a swap from another truck:

• Sign the other driver’s pro bill on the received-by line.
• Write the word “swap” in the upper-left corner of your pro bill.
• Collect the BOL from the other driver. Allow them the opportunity to capture an image of it for their paperwork.
• Run the load as you normally would.

When you deliver a swap to another truck:

• Have the receiving driver sign your pro bill on the received-by line.
• Write the word “swap” in the upper-left corner of your pro bill.
• Capture an image of the BOL before giving it to the receiving driver, either by saving a picture that you attach later, or by scanning via Transflo. You must submit the BOL with the pro bill.
