Your Load Has Layover / Bonus / Other Listed

Accessorial Pays

The following terms are additional payments on the pro that are essential in allowing Tempus Transport to pay our driver a fair rate on all miles. In most cases, they are payment for indemnification, which is payment for loss or potential loss. When any of these terms are listed on the load confirmation QC message, the term(s) listed must be documented on the pro bill under charges.

Layover

In most cases, layover does not impact driver pay because it is most often used as a catch-all term for additional payments on a pro, similar to bonus and other (see below).

Layover must be documented on the pro bill under charges.

Tempus Transport considers true layover to be a 24-hour period during which the truck is held at an appointment location. Drivers must have attempted to pickup/deliver in order for true layover to apply. If Panther does not pay layover, true layover will not be paid to drivers. True layover is paid to drivers at $75 per full 24-hour period.

Bonus

Bonus is a catch-all term that Panther occasionally uses for additional payments on a pro. In most cases, a bonus does not impact driver pay. A bonus is negotiated by Tempus Transport for a variety of purposes.

Bonus must be documented on the pro bill under charges.

Other

Other is another catch-all term that Panther occasionally uses for additional payments on a pro. In most cases, “other” does not impact driver pay.

Other must be documented on the pro bill under charges.

Failure to document these accessorial pay items may affect driver pay.
