Hand Load/Unload

On very rare occasions, a driver may be asked to assist in loading or unloading freight. Panther pays for hand load/unload only when it has been pre-approved and documented on the QC. The rate for this service is typically $25 per occurrence. When this occurs, the hand load/unload is paid directly to the truck and split between the two drivers. It is essential that the driver properly documents hand load/unload on the pro bill under charges. Please indicate if it is load or unload.

If you encounter a load that did not originally have a hand load/unload, but the customer needs this service, do not perform this service until you have received approval from your Driver Liaison.
